DL382 S-TRONIC INFORMATION
7-SPEED LONGITUDINAL CONFIGURATION WITH A WET CLUTCH UP TO 400 - 500 NM E.G. AUDI A4, A5, A6 and Q5
The DL382 S-tronic is a completely new dual-clutch gearbox developed by Audi AG. This transmission was introduced in two variants at the launch of the Audi A6 ultra (type 4G) in 2015: front-wheel drive (0CK) and quattro (0CL) variants. Subsequently, the 0CK transmission was developed into a new variant (0CJ) that uses shift by wire technology and was introduced to the Audi Q5 (type FY). These variants are designed and rated for an engine torque of up to 400 Nm.
The newest and most powerful variant of the DL382 gearbox is the DL382 + (0HL). Various modifications and improvements have been made by Audi to raise the torque from 400 Nm to 500 Nm. The DL382 + is designed for longitudinally positioned engines with a torque of up to 500 Nm, such as the latest generations of the Audi A6 and A7 (type 4K).
DL382 PROBLEMS COMMON PROBLEMS
Shifting gears too low
Aggressive / uneven start
Impact when braking just before stopping
Clutch vibration and slip
Transmission error message on the dashboard
The vehicle is not moving at all
Shift Points
Do you struggle with keeping the revs too low, experience vibrations at low speeds, or feel like your car lacks responsiveness? You are not alone. Many people driving Audi struggle with these problems, which often leads to less than ideal driving comfort. However, there is a solution that may be just what you need: transmission software optimization.
Understanding the Problem
Low RPMs and vibrations while driving can be more than just a nuisance. They often indicate deeper problems in the vehicle's transmission system, especially in cars equipped with advanced transmissions such as DSG S-Tronic. These problems can lead to increased wear and tear, especially on key components such as the dual mass flywheel.
The Role of Gearbox Software
Transmission software is the brains of your car's transmission. It controls how and when gear changes occur, directly influencing gear change points, i.e. engine speed. When this software is not optimized, it can lead to inefficient gear changes, higher fuel consumption and reduced driving comfort, all of which are common with stock software.
By optimizing your gearbox software, you can significantly improve your driving experience. Here's how:
Improved Upshifts and Downshifts: Optimized software ensures that the engine is operating at the correct rpm, preventing it from dropping too low and causing the engine to vibrate or become inflexible.
Reduced Dual Mass Flywheel Wear: By maintaining optimal rpm and smoother transitions between gears, vibration and stress on the dual mass flywheel are significantly reduced, extending the life of the dual mass flywheel.
Enhanced Driving Comfort: Smoother gear changes mean a more comfortable ride, especially in urban conditions where frequent gear changes are common.
Increased Flexibility and Efficiency: Thanks to better software calibration, your car can respond more effectively to your driving style, whether on the highway or in city traffic.
